On 7 of July, 2017, ERINHA was officially awarded the status of AISBL (Association International Sans But Lucratif – International Non-Profit Association) by a Belgian Royal Decree.

ERINHA provides common governance and a one-access point to the large spectrum of ERINHA capacities and services through its Central Coordinating Unit (CCU) which is the ERINHA’s administrative and executive body.

The ERINHA AISBL registered office is located in Brussels.

The CCU premises are hosted in Paris.

ERINHA is funded by the contributions of its Members.

These funds are primarily dedicated to supporting the organization and developing its core competencies to enable the provision of operational support to the research on high consequence pathogens.

This funding does not cover costs incurred by specific scientific projects.

The projects hosted by ERINHA can be funded from a variety of sources depending on the type of activity. National funding coming from individual States may ensure early preparedness research; European funding (e.g. H2020; IMI) may fund research activities and industrial international donors, public/private partnerships (e.g. CEPI) could fund intervention development and translation activities as well as the service-type activities.
